Auld Lang Syne

Hey all!
I know we've probably got a lot of events coming up...
Like Sila's Chalet and Christmas with our families...

BUT we really gotta get crackin if we wanna do something for NEW YEAR's!A few of us were talking and we've come up with the idea of ringing in the New Year by renting a hotel room, getting all dressed up and having a cool New Years party in the hotel room - Champers anyone???

Thing is...if we want that we REALLY REALLY need to book the hotel room ASAP cos they fill up so fast. So we gotta book by like this week or next week.
In order to do that we need...
1) an EXACT number of CONFIRMED people who are coming so we can faster split cost and collect money to book the hotel room!
2) A Hotel Room! Anyone has any lobang for great rooms at corporate rates or something? Some might have relatives in the hotel industry or something?

So reply reply reply reply ASAP y'all! And lets have a real fun and swank party to ring in the New Year! Especially since i'm sure we don't wann be out there battling the hordes of drunken annoying peopl and paying for OVERPRICED drinks on New Years.

Auld Lang Syne y'all!
Daniel

Hye i checked out the Swissotel The Stamford - Deluxe room with either double beds, or a kings size bed - available at 230+++ per room per night. 10% service charge and 5% GST and 1 % govt tax

Sounds ok actually. I mean imagine if we get 10 peolpe to split...sounds quite manageable

no! no alternatives allowed haha - i think a swanky party in a hotel - where we maybe drop by the lounge for some cocktails and ring in the New Year from our room-with-a-view is tres chic! Let's try and get 10 people at least before we give up haha

i was thinking that we could have a new year's celebration at somebody's house.

Optimally it should be fairly large to accommadate all of us, (around three stories)be in the east (so people can go blading), be relatively cheap (or free)and relatively unused (no parental control). But damn, it won't be as if someone had such a house would it?

p.s
its really sad that yus cancelled her chalet :(
